FREMONT, CA: The world has been consuming more energy than produced and climate change is accelerating that results the rise in temperature. With these words, Marillyn Hewson, CEO of Lockheed Martin, indicates that the company will continue its endeavor to create an environmental friendly world by combating against the security and stability threats generated due to climate change.

The interconnection among natural resources, energy, climate change, social issues and economic pressure leads to generate instability at the time of natural disasters and scarcity of food and water. To address these kind of various challenges, Lockheed Martin – an aerospace, defense, security and advanced Technology Company – has employed thousand of scientists and engineers to continuously work towards it.

The company has been continuously making an effort to bring multiple products such as: 10MW Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) power plant to harness energy from tide; Perforene for seawater desalination with the grapheme; Compact Fusion to generate infinite energy by containing the power of sun in a small magnetic bottle; and Infused Mobile Fish Pen to farm fish without comprising on water quality, reports Christian Davenport and Amrita Jayakumar of WashingtonPost.

Also, Lockheed Martin utilizes waste-to-energy technology to generate energy by performing controlled combustion of bio waste or converting waste into synthetic gas which can be used as fuel for Internal Combustion Engine (ICE).
